A brief background to who we are

About Chris & Tracy

From the time Chris & Tracy got married in Napier in 1999 they have wanted to move to Hawkes Bay and work together. It took nearly 20 years before this became a reality. Chris had a successful telecommunications career, traveling and working all over the world. Chris is also a very passionate and award winning wildlife photographer. Tracy had a very successful hair salon. When they moved back from their last international posting in Manila, they decided it was now or never. Purchasing Edges Art + Framing allowed them to achieve their goal as well as fulfilling their creative minds.

Chris Helliwell

Owner

I look after the smooth running of the business as well as being hands on in the workshop when required. I take care of all of the photography & printing requirements.

Tracy Helliwell

Owner

I look after the general day to day operations at the workshop as well as taking the lead on mounting your artwork.

Edges Art + Framing has been framing your treasures for over 15 years now, it has grown from a small two person business to now having two retail locations (Havelock North & Napier along with a separate workshop) and several people looking after your printing & framing.

Edges Art + Framing Havelock North & Cathedral Photo & Art Gallery, Napier are your locations to bring in your art work, where we help design your custom framing, do all your printing requirements and where you pick up your completed pieces. You can also buy original art prints and check out all the amazing framing samples on our gallery walls.

Edges workshop (located in Hastings) is a purpose built framing workshop where we make all your frames. This workshop allows us to produce very large frames, do production runs of bulk quantities of frames and work on bespoke solutions. The workshop also allows us to hold a large quantity of materials.

Leanne

Designer

Leanne works in the Havelock North show room and will look after you when visit. She has a wealth of experience and will ensure that your art is looked after and you get the perfect design for your artwork.

Shane

Frame Maker

Shane works in the workshop in Hastings. He is responsible for cutting and joining all the frames as well as helping finishing.

Graham

Workshop Staff

Graham works in the workshop in Hastings. He is responsible for finishing as well as cutting glass and helping mount your artwork.
