Weโve been working on some pretty fun projects so far this year โ and this is just a small glimpse into what goes on in the workshop.
From unique one-off pieces to special sentimental items, every project that comes through our doors gets the same care, precision and attention.
While our front showroom is open in Havelock North for you to come in and chat ideas, we are also tucked away in our workshop getting everything done and ready for your walls!

We recently had the honour of framing a wedding bouquet โ such a special piece to work on.
Every flower was individually placed and glued one by one, which made it a slow but an incredibly rewarding process. Each element was thoughtfully arranged to reflect the natural beauty and emotion behind the bouquet.
The final result? Honestlyโฆ so satisfying. A timeless piece.
To finish, we used museum-grade glass, offering exceptional clarity while protecting the bouquet from fading and damage over time โ so it can be treasured for years to come.
We absolutely loved working on this one, and seeing how much it meant to our client made it even more special ๐
If you have something sentimental youโve been thinking about preserving, weโd love to help bring it to life.
How many people does it take to make a large frame? ๐๐ผ๏ธ
Big frames are definitely a team effort. From carefully measuring and cutting, to aligning every corner just right, each piece has to be placed with precision so the final result is strong, seamless, and perfectly square.
We love taking on the big jobs โ thereโs something so satisfying about seeing all the pieces come together. Itโs a bit like a puzzle, but with a whole lot of care, craftsmanship, and teamwork behind the scenes.

Floating is a framing style where the artwork is mounted so it appears to โfloatโ inside the frame, rather than being covered by a mat board. This means you get to see the entire raw edge of the piece, creating a subtle shadow line and a beautiful dimensional, gallery-style effect โจ
Itโs perfect for original artworks on paper, deckled or torn-edge prints, watercolours, or any piece where you want to showcase the full shape and texture of the artwork.
By comparison, using a mat board creates a clean, pristine border and helps keep the artwork from touching the glass โ offering protection and a more classic presentation.
Two very different looks, both stunning in their own way. Are you team floating or team mat board? ๐ผ๏ธ ... See MoreSee Less
